Depending on your goals, you can start preparing for the Digital PSAT as early as 8th grade. Mainly, sophomore, juniors and rising seniors enroll for the digital PSAT and the school will enroll the student.

Generally, it is similar to a practice SAT, however it is connected with NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test); if a student does really well on the PSAT, they are then selected as a potential National Merit Finalist, which can be a very prestigious selection for both the student and the middle/high school the student is enrolled in.

For the digital PSAT, we see an improvement anywhere from 150 to 450 points and 4.5 points on the ACT. However, it is important to note that this is dependent on the student, the programing, and background entry scores and course completion competencies in Math and English/ Language Arts . Our goal is to provide an environment that motivates our students to be proactive in their learning, and to provide them with tools that will increase their learning outside of scheduled classes. The benefit of our programming is not just limited to the tutoring sessions. All of our tutoring programs have three main components:

1. Tutoring sessions (guided by your personal tutor)

2. Routine scheduled independent learning sessions (for the student to get through all the assignments, section exams and lessons to stay ahead of the preparation process).

3. Mock exams- practice, practice, practice exams to help further recognize testing patterns and mastery of concepts, skills and strategies.

The student is responsible for tracking application and award status online and ensuring that funding for an academic year is accurate by contacting their institution’s financial aid office.

The application opens annually on October 1.

ACT, SAT, or CLT test scores must be achieved by August 31, 2025.

Initial Eligibility Requirements for Florida Academic Scholars and Florida Medallion

1. Submit the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) by August 31 of senior year of high school.

2. Complete the 16 college-preparatory courses required for admission to a state

3. Achieve the required weighted GPA in the 16 college-preparatory courses per chart

4. Complete the required number of service hours per chart

5. Achieve the required combined ACT or composite SAT score per chart

Initial Eligibility Requirements for Florida Gold Seal Vocational

1. Submit the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) by August 31 of senior year of high school.

2. Achieve the required weighted 3.0 GPA in the non-elective high school

3. Take at least 3 full credits in a single Career and Technical Education

4. Achieve the required minimum 3.5 unweighted GPA in the career education

5. Complete 30 service hours, 100 work paid hours, or a combination of 100 hours

6. Achieve the required minimum scores on one of the college entrance exams per the chart

Requirements to Receive an Award:

1. Evaluated by Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) as meeting the initial eligibility

2. Graduated with a standard high school diploma or its

3. Be a Florida resident and U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen,

4. Enroll as a degree or certificate-seeking student at a Florida institution in at least 6 non-remedial semester credit

Gold Seal Vocational Scholars Restrictions:

Gold Seal may only be used at postsecondary institutions that offer an applied technology diploma, technical degree education program (associate in applied science or associate in science), or a career certificate program.

Virtual Tutoring: Conducted online through video conferencing platforms. Provides flexibility and convenience, allowing you to learn from any location with an internet connection.

We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your other commitments and activities. Many of our tutors are either young professionals or students so their schedule actually lines up with local students. We can arrange sessions at various times, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. If your availability changes, we are happy to adjust your schedule as needed.

Our tutors are carefully vetted based on their qualifications, experience, and expertise in the subject matter. A big part of our hiring process is evaluating their ability to teach and communicate ideas. A perfect-scoring tutor is worthless to us if they cannot teach. The first session typically involves an initial assessment to determine your current level, strengths, and areas for improvement. One thing that we do as well is a study technique evaluation. We will evaluate the student’s methods of studying and provide recommendations to benefit the student outside of scheduled lessons. The tutor will work with you to set specific goals and develop a personalized study plan. It’s also an opportunity to discuss any concerns or preferences you may have.
